With the end of the school year fast approaching, many parents up and down the country and thinking about those 'end of year' teachers' gifts to show their appreciation for what has been a very difficult year in education.

Who doesn't love to sit down with a cup of tea and a sweet treat? In Somerset, we're lucky to have so many artisan food makers, creating the most delicious, mouth-watering treats.

Whether you fancy cakes from Dainty Bakes, gourmet mallows from Grown Up Marshmallows or artisan choccies from Gilbert and Swayne, we have an impressive selection at our fingertips in our wondrous County.

2) Cosmetics for Self-Care

There is something lovely about relaxing into a hot bath at the end of a long day, or treating yourself with some lovely cosmetics. We have many cosmetic producers based in Somerset that create beautiful, hand-made products that your skin will love. 4) Reading material

Our teachers are surely pretty used to reading, but how often are they able to read something they want to read? Why not treat your teacher to the gift of a good book to lose themselves in over the Summer holidays? We've got a selection of independent book shops in Somerset, selling reads from a wide range of genres. Have a look at Brendon Books, Rothwell & Dunworth and Mr B's Emporium.
